Hi! My name is Piotr Jusik.

I am an intercultural coach, counsellor and group facilitator.

I grew up in Poland and my curiosity pushed me over the years to live in several countries, such as the UK, France, USA and Guatemala. That is how I got interested in intercultural issues. After working as a teacher for several years, I trained in Transactional Analysis Counselling and in Leadership and Executive Coaching.

My clients mostly come from international environments. I have offered my services to individuals and groups from the UK, Poland, France, Belgium, Spain, Ukraine, Mexico, Guatemala, India, USA, Canada and the Middle East. Currently, I have a coaching and counselling practice, working both online and face to face. Apart from work, I love travelling off the beaten track, studying languages and psychology, cycling and cooking.

What is it that you are looking for in a coach or counsellor?

When choosing a counsellor or a coach, it is important to consider the way they work. This part will help you decide if I am the right person for you.

I worked as teacher, I trained in Transactional Analysis and I value the science offered by Positive Psychology. These elements shaped my beliefs about human nature. We all have strengths that can be recognised to help us deal with the issues we face. In my work, I invite you to decide what you want to change and how you want to do that. Stress, pain, anxiety or depression can narrow your field of view. I want us to understand what is unique about your struggles and offer you a fresh and wider perspective. Thanks to that you will get back on track.

Transactional Analysis (TA) is a system of counselling developed in the sixties by a psychiatrist called Eric Berne. I like TA because it uses simple language like Parent, Adult and Child, game and script to name a few. At the same time, TA is deep and effective, which allows people to change. The core assumptions of TA are:

people are O.K.

meaning that everyone has value and dignity

people can think for themselves

meaning that everyone can reflect

people can change

meaning that everyone can choose their destiny

TA offers powerful language and symbols that help us see our problems from a new perspective. Big ideas do not always reflect human reality. That is why modern TA emphasises the relationship between the client and the practitioner. I use TA in my work by letting you be heard, witnessed and understood as a unique human being. Let’s create fresh stories that enhance your growth.

Flow is a state of mind we access while being fully engaged in what we do. Finding your flow is about deepening your self-awareness. The result is you being who you are, not who others want you to be. I aim to create conditions where you can uncover your inner and outer resources, so that you can approach life with the awareness of your strengths. Flow is a natural expression of your strengths. There is no need to strive and yet it requires effort. This way you get closer to your true self.

Flow means being you! I believe this is important in the way we lead our lives. We are not given an instruction on how to manage ourselves. We need to know what makes us tick to find autonomy. This also means accepting you limitations with compassion.

I see autonomy and compassion as foundations of a fulfilling life.

If you have accessed this page you might be seriously considering some changes in your private or professional life. I would like you to be open and honest with yourself. This way we can find out what you really need and what will work for you.

I have been working in people orientated professions for over ten years. My international experience led me to offer a culturally sensitive service. I have worked in English, Polish, French and Spanish speaking environments and I draw on these experiences to understand my clients’ uniqueness.

My training is both in coaching and counselling because I appreciate that people have diverse needs.

Therapeutic counselling is mainly about reducing distress.
Coaching is mainly about increasing potential.

In reality, it is impossible to separate the two completely. Most people have simply a mixture of needs and do not fit into a box. I will work with you to assess your needs and agree the best approach.

Coaches usually specialise in areas based on their prior experience. I worked in special and international education as well as universities. As a coach, I draw on my education and counselling background to strengthen your self-awareness, which boosts your goal achievement.

  • Career coaching

Are you feeling stuck in your job or chosen career? I can assist you in working out your professional identity. When you get a better understanding of who you are, you will be able to decide about your future.
  • Work transition support

Are you transitioning from one role to another? This can be challenging. I can offer you coaching during this period to develop confidence and competence that you will bring to your new position.
  • Confidence building

Are you doubting yourself way too much? We all have moments of doubt, but this is about keeping the right balance. I can work with you to crack what is holding you back. This will take time and it is worth it.
  • Youth coaching

Is your teenage child confused about their future? Young adults sometimes need greater clarity about their educational and life goals. I offer coaching for teenagers and young adults to help them shape their future.
  • Confidence building

Are you doubting yourself way too much? We all have moments of doubt, but this is about keeping the right balance. I can work with you to crack what is holding you back. This will take time and it is worth it.
  • Teacher coaching

Are you sometimes overwhelmed in your teaching or training role? Managing groups and various learning styles can be tricky at times. I run coaching workshops for teachers as well as one-to-one sessions.
  • Confidence building

Do you find it difficult to express yourself as you would like to? Daily communication can be a minefield or a clear and effective exchange. I use Transactional Analysis to enhance your interpersonal skills.
  • Presentation skills

Would you like give compelling and effective presentations? It may be important in your role. I combine my teaching and training experience to coach you to have a greater impact on your audience.

Talking therapy is an effective tool to help you manage your distress in a safe and confidential space. I will work with you to uncover your resources to create options that will maximise your well-being. I believe that therapy is not about digging into the past and trying to find the core of your issues. I think it is more beneficial to acknowledge the way you were impacted by the past and concentrate on your present capacity for autonomy. This means you living more in the here and now, enjoying love and support offered to you and making your own decisions. My role is to listen and support you whilst you reflect on the way you make meaning out of your experiences. Some of us may be stuck in the past and need to update their worldview, while others worry about future possibilities that may never become reality:

“If you are depressed you are living in the past.
If you are anxious you are living in the future.
If you are at peace you are living in the present.”

-Lao Tzu

As a therapeutic counsellor, I’ve worked with clients who struggled with:
